Stages of an interior design project

  1. Meeting and brief. We record your goals, habits and lifestyle: who lives in the home, how you cook, where you work, what you store.
  2. Layout. We work out ergonomics and how the space will be used, discuss options and approve one.
  3. Visualization. We show a photorealistic view of the future interior: palette, materials, light.
  4. Drawings. We prepare technical documentation for the builders.
  5. Implementation. We bring the project to life with author's supervision. If needed, we also handle procurement: furniture, lighting, finishes.

How long an interior design project takes

The timeline depends on the area, the complexity of the solutions and how fast approvals go. First comes the layout, then the concept with visualizations, then the working drawings. What the cost of a design project depends on

Four factors affect the price:

  • the area of the property;
  • the type of property: an apartment, a private house or a commercial space;
  • the depth of the work: layout only, a full project, or a project with procurement and author's supervision;
  • the complexity of the solutions: custom furniture, lighting, engineering.

Payment follows the "50/50" scheme: half when the contract is signed, the other half when the project is delivered and accepted. At the start we fix the scope of work, the volume of drawings and the deadline.

Common mistakes when ordering a project

  • Ordering "only pictures" without working drawings. Builders will not be able to carry out the idea accurately.
  • Saving on measurements. An error of a few centimeters can end in furniture that does not fit.
  • Approving the layout in a hurry. Changing it after visualization has started takes longer and costs more.
  • Starting the renovation before the documentation is ready. Working in parallel almost always leads to rework.
